Ravi Chopra's much-talked-about MITTI, starring Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan, has been put on hold. gWe wanted to shoot in Rajasthan. But it's not possible at this time of the year. Besides, Aamir Khan's film, based on the 1857 uprising [THE RISING], also looks at the same period. It doesn't make sense to start shooting MITTI now. We will delay it for some time at least,h he reveals. | ![]() |
Instead, Chopra is getting ready to make yet another family saga, post-BAGHBAN. Titled BABUL, the film will feature heavyweights like Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan and Hema Malini. One more actor and actress are yet to be finalised. The scripting will be over by the end of January and the shooting will commence from February-end or early March. Chopra is hoping for a Diwali release. | |
![]() Chopra continues, gAfter Amit-ji, her role [the daughter-in-law] will be the most important in the film. Preity or Rani would be ideal for the role. I haven't approached them yet since I'm waiting for the script to get over,h he shares. A thriller is also on the cards. Essentially a love triangle with two boys and one girl, it will be a small-budget experimental subject to be made within two months. The story, penned by Ram Govind, will be partly based in a jail. |
