So you thought Salman Khan was gone for good. Well it sure seems like it with the minimal releases he has lately and the few that he has in the line up. The few consists of this up and coming comedy/drama, Yeh Hai Jalwa from his reliable buddy David Dhawan. This film has already been completed, but with the high prospects of recent releases (and the many more to come), the postponing of the filmLs release seems like a smart move. Especially since David DhawanLs last release Kyo Kii Main Jhuth Nahin Bholta didnLt do any type of business at the box office. |
Perhaps this film is destined to be their comeback film (both Dhawan and Salman), after all, the theme seems like hit material and itLs star cast is pretty hit potential as well. Not only does it star box office goddess Amisha Patel , but Sanjay Dutt is guest appearing as well, and thereLs the couple that keeps re-appearing in recent films, Rishi Kapoor and Rati Aghinotri. Sort of a secure cast to present his film with, letLs hope it works this time. |

Salman is a succesfull, mature young man who seems to be missing something from his life. His parents. Slowly but surely, Salman sets out to find his father, the only one who he has information on. He later learns that Rishi Kapoor is his long lost father, but Rishi Kapoor has moved on with his wife Rati Aghinotri. Unfortunatley, with the success that Rishi has faced he is reluctant to believe that Salman is his son. Rather, he thinks he is just trying to manipulate him. Salman then embarks on journey not only to prove his worth, but to prove he is his son as well. This journey becomes an emotional saga for everyone involved. |

Amisha is the mystery character in the film whose role is said to be equally as in-depth as Rishi and SalmanLs. That would be the way to go after all the success sheLs faced with films based on the heroine. Nitin Manmohan Desai has made many succesfull family oriented films. David Dhawan has as well, but the latter has faced many more failures as of late. LetLs wait and see whether this will work for Salman in his time of desperate need. Yeh Hai Jalwa has been scheduled for release since October but should hit the screen before the year is over. |
