Salman Still A Rage!
B4U Aug 20 2003
Salman Khan is a rage with the masses! The recent box-office collections of Tere Naam prove that. Salman Khan's last release was Yeh Hai Jalwa in 2002. The actor hasn't had a release till then. "Perhaps that could be one of the reasons why the film has opened to full houses," said one of the trade analysts. It may be recalled that Salman Khan had rammed his Land Cruiser at the American Express Bakery killing one and injuring four others in the accident.
He was later released on a bail of rs.940. He was then charged with culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
There was also girlfriend Aishwarya Rai announcing her break up with Khan. All seems to be forgotten. Salman Khan's fans have shown their unshakeable love for him.

Unique start for Tere Naam in Jodhpur
Taran Adarsh India FM Aug 16 2003
He may be surrounded by controversies, but there's no denying the fact that when it comes to fan-following, Salman Khan's popularity chart is rock-steady. While his fans ensured that TERE NAAM generated excellent opening all over, one section of his fans in Jodhpur [Rajasthan] went one step ahead.
A big group of body builders booked the entire Balcony seats of Jodhpur's Nasrani cinema for the very first show of the film on Friday. The procession arrived in 4-5 open jeeps, many of them sporting Salman's hairstyle from the film. One of them was even seen in shackles, the kind of which the actor has worn in the second half of the film.
Not to be left behind, the management of the theatre also joined in the festive mood. They welcomed the procession and garlanded those sporting Salman's get-up.
Hrithik has beaten us all in KMG: Salman
India FM Aug 14 2003
Remember how Hrithik had waxed eloquent about Salman Khan being the ideal Prem? "I know that I can't surpass Salman Khan, who will remain the eternal Prem for Soorajji's films. He is such a good hearted and sensitive human being. He exudes a certain charm about him that I feel is required to play a character like Prem," he said during the promos of Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon. And guess what, now it's Salman's turn to praise Hrithik.

Our macho hero, who is supposed to star in Sooraj Barjatiya's next, is simply bowled over by Hrithik's performance in Koi... Mil Gaya. "I quite liked him in MPKDH. If he has said all that about me, I'd ask everyone to watch him in KMG. I have watched the film and what a performance Hrithik has put up. He has put all of us to shame. If Bollywood actors can put in even 10 per cent of what Hrithik has done in KMG, it will be a great job done," Salman said.
One wondered whether we were listening to sound bytes from a mutual admiration society. But no, Salman was quick to brush aside any claims of being modest. "I am just being truthful. When I say he has put all of us to shame I just don't mean our generation of actors. I am also talking about stars of yesteryears!" he added. Now is Hrithik listening?

Salman's all excited
India FM Sep 3 2002
Guess what is Salman Khan hooked on to these days? It's the Satish Kaushik-directed film, launched in May this year. So much so that Salman has allotted bulk dates to complete the film, so that it releases before the year comes to an end. The film, now titled TERE NAAM, is being shot round-the-clock and if things go as per schedule, it will hit the theatres in December this year. And if that happens, it will be the first Salman starrer to be completed within months of its launch.
Bhumika Chawla plays the leading lady of the film, produced by Sunil Manchanda.

I went bald, because it was required for one of my films
Tatanova 2002 June
I went bald, because it was required for one of my films. Why is there such a curiousity about me going bald?
I mean, isn't the reason so obvious considering the heat and humidityhere.
Jokes apart, there has been a lot of speculation on why I went bald, especially in the media. Some say, my hair is thinning and I shaved my head bald in the hope that I would get a thicker crop of hair back. Come on, there are other methods to get back your hair, if there is one that is!
I went bald, because it was required for one of my films. The character I play is bald for a part of the movie. However, I am glad I did it. I have never enjoyed summer the way I have this year. I didn't know being bald made the summers easier to bear.
