STORY
The story is about two brothers, Vicky Oberoi (Sanjay Dutt) and Prem Oberoi (Salman Khan). Theirs is a very strong and healthy bond. Vicky is a business tycoon looking after the family business consisting of innumerable Multi-National Companies. He is a very responsible and capable industrialist, whereas younger brother Prem is a happy-go-lucky person who has no interest in the family business. He is only interested in acting, and keeps working on stage plays with his theatrical group. Vicky and his Grandmother (Sushma Seth) support Prem whereas Balraj Oberoi (Dalip Tahil), their father is against the idea of Prem whiling away his time and not taking life seriously.
Sapna (Karisma Kapoor) in search of work goes for an interview at Vicky Oberoifs company, but is rejected by Vicky as she is a rookie with no work experience. Seeing her innocence, Balraj Oberoi being the chairman of Oberoi Group decides to employ her anyway. Sapna who is intimidated by Vicky Oberoi ends up doing all the wrong things, due to her nervousness,  which only further irritate Vicky. Prem too meets Sapna through her Uncle who is an actor, and later realizes that Sapna is working for his brother.
One day, Sapna saves Vicky's life who is badly hurt in the fight. This impresses the members of the Oberoi family and they are indebted to Sapna. Balraj Oberoi and his mother grow fond of Sapna, and wish that Vicky agrees to marry Sapna. Meanwhile Sapna and Prem have also become close and fall in love with each other.
After Vicky's recovery, his father and grandmother convince him, who relents earlier, into marrying Sapna without knowing that his younger brother Prem and Sapna are fond of each other. But before Prem can inform his family about his fondness for Sapna, he comes to know that his elder brother has consented to marry Sapna. Vicky tells Prem that Sapna is the right girl, and that he would marry no one but her.
Will Prem sacrifice his love for the sake of his brother and family? Will Sapna consent to marry Vicky? Director David Dhawan's (Haseena Maan Jayegi) CHAL MERE BHAI will answer these questions in his own inimitable style. Features the hit song "Chal Mere Bhai..." sung by Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan
