Salman Khan began his career with the film Biwi Ho To Aisi, however he hit tinsel tinsel town with a bang with the blockbuster of the decade Maine Pyar Kiya co-starring Bhagyashree. Salman's career, however, took a bit of a battering with some mediocre films like Suryavanshi, Kurbaan, Pathar Ke Phool, Ek Ladka Ek Ladki. He has done a string of guest appearances in movies like Deewane Mastana and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai but his strong screen presence has won him kudos for these as well.
Salman Khan is now gearing up for his next release Tum Ko Na Bhool Payenge.
Salman after 13 years into the industry do you still get into the excitement mode?
Well, I think this excitement was not there during the Maine Pyar Kiya days so how can it be there today. I work hard and put my heart into it and then leave everything to god. However, I am always nervous and hope the film does well.
It is almost a year since your last film was released. Have you become selective about your roles?

Yes, in a way I have. I am a little more careful about the roles I play.
What was so great about Tumko Na Bhool Payenge, which made you say that you want to do this?

The film had a very interesting script so I decided to do it.
This film is said to be very similar to Karan Arjun.
Karan Arjun was about reincarnation. However, this film is very different and the role was very challenging.
What was it like working with Sushmita Sen and Diya Mirza?

I have worked with Shusmita before. She is very professional and always has her lines rehearsed and comes to the sets on time.
Salman, you do a lot of action films. Do you prefer action roles?
Well, I did quite a few action films in the past. Now Ifm moving to more character based roles.

Are you also looking for newer things that will challenge you?

I have always liked to work on different kinds of roles and experiment with them.
Was script of Tum Ko Na Bhool Payenge the only reason why you co produced the film?

No, the script was not the only reason, the reason why I did this was because I just wanted to do it.

Are you happy with your career till date?

Very happy apart from the few mishaps here and there.
